Typical Tuscan dishes are based on peasant culture and tradition using simple ingredients produced from the surrounding land and it is for this reason that it is often called “cucina povera” or poor; despite this, the dishes of Tuscany are renowned throughout the world such as “Zuppa di Pane” or “Ribollita” not to mention the “Bistecca alla Fiorentina”.
